It was fate when Kazuo Koike stumbled upon potato chips for the first time. Out at the bar with some friends, someone offered him some chips from America. It was unlike anything
he’d had before,
and he was amazed by
what he tasted! Kazuo
knew then that he had
to share this snack with
the rest of Japan.

Armed with a fryer and a whole lot of passion, Kazuo tirelessly dedicated himself to his cause. He hand-fried batch after batch of potato chips to tweak every last detail to perfection.
Kazuo's efforts paid off when he founded Koikeya in 1963 — one of the first snack companies to mass-produce potato chips in Japan!
Fast forward to today, and that same legacy continues with SATISFRY. Our chips have taken on flavors beyond Japan, venturing into other parts of Asia. Now, we're on a mission to bring these incredible tastes to snackers all around the world.
